UPDATE

Ok... so my fingers were crossed. Now they seem to be morphing into fists (of frustration).

We have discovered on a Facebook page - that others in the same estate - CLAIM that they have all their paperwork from Council. Oh and the 'drawings' down for the OSD system we are supposed to install.

Spoke to the Client Liasion Officer last week... told them these people - and they know who these people are as they are also building with McDonald Jones !!!! PS these people have spent big $$$ on electrical we have been told. When I contacted Council about OSD left a message and guess what - Im still waiting for return phone call.

They said they are still waiting on paperwork from Council. Apparently there is a hold up getting documents - how can one in same estate / same builder / same Council... be so different.

3 weeks before settlement of the Land we had the DP number and they say they started the process then.... That was almost 2 months ago.

We were one of the 1st ppl to purchase land, when released in 2013, then deposit put down at July 2014 for house. 

How can anyone be so far ahead of us ??

We will await outcome.

In other news - a FRIDGE was purchased on super special lol.

Land Settled 2 Nov 2015

The Land has settled after 2.5 years. 

Thank goodness that period has ended and another one about to start.

Called Mcdonald Jones they need paperwork from Solicitor, before next move. Should have this paperwork this week.

LAND TO SETTLE ON MON 2 NOV .... cheques drawn ....WOO HOO

OMG

Ok, so it has been a loooong time with NOTHING happening. The land has been sitting there ready to go.

Information from several sources has mentioned several issues with storm water (this does not affect us as we are on high ground), and the council not 'happy' with the 'conditions of consent' that has been specified, the developer etc etc etc. Also heard developer had signed off months ago. And they are getting charged a fee per month since January - so we think it should have been ready at that time.

During this time several blocks have come back on the market - some $140k more that what we paid !!!!

The wait still continues.

September we were told the land was sent to the Land Titles Office. This should only take a few weeks. What Crap!!!! We have heard it all before.

OCTOBER 13, Text message from real estate agent - Stage 1 registered :) :)
OCTOBER 14, Phone call asking to Settle on Land early November - told them we want to settle earlier, as the funds are there. Waiting on response.

As usual (in greek voice) ... waiting, waiting, waiting........

Land Almost Ready !!!

Ok, so its been a long time between posts - well 'the block' has been ready for some time now, inclusive of water taps, mini green boxes on nature strip and the footpath.

Oh also during this time the street signs have all been put in place - as well as the Street Name.

Yesterday, Thursday 18.6.2015 - the power was supposed to be turned onto the subdivision.  A letter came to my folks last week advising no power from 8am to after 5pm, they (being power men) were working in the rain. 

So maybe tonight there will be street lights ???
